The purpose of this document is to outline the TFCA FF’s approach to receiving, accepting, assessing, resolving
and monitoring grievances from those affected by activities supported by the Facility. The objective of the TFCA
FF GRM is to provide a platform for individuals or groups affected by the activities funded by the TFCA FF to
voice their concerns, opinions and problems related to the activities. It is also to provide a prompt and effective
mechanism for resolving and addressing grievances fairly, transparently and in a culturally appropriate way. The
GRM is rights compatible as per the requirements of the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business
and Human Rights and allows stakeholders to claim remedy if the adverse impact has already been caused.
